Guest Post: Adele Sypesteyn on her first Round Top experience

What a fantastic first time experience in Blue Hills at the Round Top Antique Show in Texas! It was a life changing experience for me. For two weeks I learned how to run a store from just a roof, wooden beams, and a dirt floor. The weather changed daily from cold, windy, and rainy, to hot and humid. You had to be prepared for it all! What I was not prepared for was meeting so many wonderful people. I rarely have the chance to work directly with my customers, as I show primarily through galleries. It was delightful to meet everyone face to face, and to hear so much positive feedback.

I was with my brother, Willem, and his girlfriend Chotsie who own reworks. Veterans of Round Top, both of them taught me so many lessons and we had so much fun working together. I will be going back in the fall with an expanded space- please come and see me! I have been inspired to create many new artworks that will be displayed there for the first time.

I have also been inspired to create in general! I am busy painting, sculpting, and as always, dreaming up new ideas to share with you all.
