ABOUT US
HISTORY & OWNERS
reworksHOME's founders Chotsie Gregson and Willem Sypesteyn made the life-changing decision to leave their established businesses and homes in New Orleans to move to Austin, Texas following Hurricane Katrina. The duo melded their lifelong passions and experience in art, design and architecture to create reworks in 2008.
WHO WE ARE
reworksHOME, an allied Industry Partner of the American Society of Interior Designers, is a company of artisans and craftspeople who create classically-designed, high quality home furnishings including tables, lighting, mirrors, and accessories for clients, architects and interior designers. Our pieces are described as welding the classic history of New Orleans to the edgy playfulness of Austin. We often draw our inspiration from the innate beauty of how mother nature ages things in a palatable way. Bringing out the old with the new, enduring a fusion of both, is a hallmark of our creative process.
We skillfully handcraft each of our pieces, and we guarantee extraordinary client service and attention to detail. Our creations are an investment to be treasured today, and handed down through generations. reworksHOME founders have the background, experience, and innate ability to truly hear what clients want. We respect designers’ creative work, and understand their needs and boundaries. We are professional, timely, flexible, and transparent.
WHAT WE DO
reworksHOME designs and manufactures furniture and home accessories and offers two distinct lines: CLASSICS and LIMITED EDITIONS. The classics line consists of furniture handcrafted with fine materials and have the element of traditional design. Limited editions include one-of-a-kind pieces made with reclaimed architectural finds, developed in collaboration with clients - often interior designers and architects - for clients' needs. Limited edition pieces often incorporate rare and unusual elements and materials, always carefully curated.
